JOB DESCRIPTION

Experienced commercial real estate paralegal candidate must be able to demonstrate professional integrity, attention to detail and exercise good judgment in handling sensitive information.  The qualified candidate must be detail-oriented, a self-starter, who is extremely responsible, dependable, highly motivated, able to work in a fast-paced environment, possess a great work attitude and be a team player.  Candidate must be able to work independently while, at the same time, be able to clearly and routinely communicate file status.  

PRINCIPLE DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Organize and coordinate Residential and Commercial Real Estate Sale, Acquisition and Loan closings, including preparation of all closing documents.
  • Preparation & review of closing figures 
  • Review survey and title reports, obtain payoff statements, and clearance of all title issues
  • Post-closing document control, UCCs, satisfactions
  • Real property transfer tax preparation and submissions 
  • Assist in corporate formation, good standing and securing tax id numbers

Qualifications

 

  •  Bachelor’s Degree 
  • Paralegal certification
  •  5-7 years of paralegal experience in real estate firm 
  • Superior verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong sense of urgency and ability to meet deadlines
  • Expert experience in Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel
