Key Responsibilities
We are looking for an energetic professional to take an active role in helping manage our multiple projects and troubleshooting initiatives as we continue to grow. This individual will report to our Construction Project Manager, located in Stamford, CT.
- Scope of work will include all aspects of civil engineering and site work for BLT projects
- 75% field based/25% office based
- Coordinate Labor Services including, but not limited to:
- Paving
- Landscaping
- Utility Work
- Excavation/grading
- Detailed site work
- Environmental Remediation
- Supervise work in the field and troubleshoot issues
- Prepare field observation reports, daily progress reports and assist in resolving all mechanical field issues
- Review of drawings, inspection/coordination of site-work to ensure that requirements are met and are in compliance with plans
- Prepare vendor specifications, review bids and provide recommendations based on thorough analysis of price, quality and delivery time.
- Assist in development of scope of work
- Perform additional assignments per supervisor's direction
Qualifications
- A minimum of 6 years of construction experience as a field engineer or inspector for large and/or complex projects
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering is a plus
- Ability to communicate effectively with excellent written communication and computer (MS Office Suites) skills.
- Exhibits an Ownership Mentality when observing and troubleshooting at our properties
- Demonstrated ability to work autonomously
- Ability to read and interpret contract drawings and specifications
- Familiar with project management procedures
Work Environment/Job Conditions
This job will mostly be performed on the jobsite and requires frequent walking, standing, bending, reaching and lifting of objects 50 lbs. or greater. The successful candidate must be able to navigate the jobsite and must comply with all Company safety requirements in the office and on the jobsite.
